Michael J. Majors, MD

Dr Majors attended Rice University, where he played baseball, was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, graduated Summa Cum Laude, and earned a full scholarship for medical school from the US Air Force. He went to medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, where he was honored as the top student in pathology, and was one of the few third year medical students selected for the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. After graduation, he did an internal medicine internship at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, where he met his wife, Sheri, an ICU nurse at Baylor. Dr Majors then completed his dermatology residency at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, and was chosen to be the Chief Resident in Dermatology in his third and final year.

After graduation and board certification, Dr Majors proudly served for 4 years in the US Air Force as the Chief of Dermatology at RAF Lakenheath, England. From there, Dr Majors returned to Texas, where he has practiced general dermatology in Fredericksburg since 2002. Dr Majors has served as the Hill Country County Medical Society delegate to the Texas Medical Association, as well as several terms on the board of the Hill Country Regional Healthcare Network, but it is in providing top quality dermatologic care for his patients that Dr Majors has found his true calling. In his spare time, Dr Majors prefers spending time with his wife and their 3 sons and a daughter, as well as reading, hiking, and generally enjoying life in the Texas Hill Country.
